Group visits to Smallhythe Place
Nestled in the Kent countryside, Ellen Terry’s historic home overlooks a traditional cottage garden and the rolling hills beyond. As one of the most reputable actresses of her time, the house is bursting with theatrical artefacts from her career on stage, with many items of jewellery and costumes on display.
Book a visit
If you are planning a visit with 15 people or more, then please call or email in advance to book and we can send you a booking form to fill in. Our group offer includes a reduced entry rate per person, an exclusive talk in the Barn Theatre about the history of the house and Ellen Terry's residency, and the option to pre-order food from our characterful tea room.
If you wish to bring your own food, we have picnic benches outside overlooking fields that you are welcome to use. Group members will also be able to buy from a selection of merchandise in our gift corner as a way to remember their visit to Smallhythe Place.
