Festive Fridays at Speke Hall
Festive Fridays are your chance to experience Christmas at Speke Hall away from the hustle and bustle, whether you want to take a stroll around the house, decorated for a traditional Victorian Christmas, pick up gifts in our shop or enjoy a delicious meal in the restaurant.
Join us on Fridays 29 November and 6 & 13 December between 10.30am-4pm. The house will be open between 12-3.30pm, or you can enjoy guided tours in the morning between 11am-12pm.
As this is a quieter version of our Victorian Christmas festivities, please be aware some elements such as sugar mice making and carol-singing choirs are not taking place on Fridays. If you're bringing the family and want lots of activities to entertain your little ones, please join us at the weekends instead!
What to see and do
Enter the house to admire magnificent handmade garlands and meet the wonderful volunteers who made them, marvel at the Great Hall's huge tree and experience the sights, sounds and smells of a Victorian Christmas.
An Arts & Crafts Christmas
Indulge your creative side in a William Morris inspired decorative paper workshop to make a festive ornament to take home. Look at the original Morris & Co. wallpaper displayed in the house for some inspiration.
Step back in time in the Great Hall to enjoy performances by a harpist playing traditional festive favourites underneath the glittering Christmas tree.
Brisk Bund Walk
Join a friendly member of our team for a Brisk Bund Walk to clear away those winter cobwebs and spot some winter wildlife. Meet us at Home Farm at 11am to tag along.
Pick up a self-guided winter wildlife walking leaflet from Reception and enjoy a choice of three refreshing walks within the wintery grounds. Wrap up warm and let us know what you spot on your way around the estate.
