Lakeside concert at Stackpole
Enjoy an afternoon of music on the lawn as we host our lakeside concert at Stackpole Court this summer. Pack a picnic or treat yourself to a cream tea and relax with live performances from local jazz and choral musicians.
When and where is the concert taking place?
Our lakeside concert is taking place on Sunday 7 July from 3pm to 7pm.
The outdoor event is being held on the lawn at Stackpole Court and has amazing views over the Eastern Arm of Bosherston Lakes.
Who is performing at the concert?
There's a fantastic line-up to enjoy at our lakeside concert:
Alina Miroe Quartet
Alina Miroe is an up and coming Russian vocalist known for her warm vocal tone, beguiling swing feel and admirable song delivery.
Her band will close the afternoon of performances with a varied selection of standards by Jerome Kern, Cole Porter, Richard Rodgers and others.
The Stackpole Singers started in 2008 with just 9 members, today there are over 60! It's a very casual singing group with the emphasis on the social side of getting together to sing.
They have a mix of Pembrokeshire melodies written by the group leader (Becky Evans) and well known songs that the audience can join in with.
The Firebyrd Trio are Alan Argent, tenor and soprano saxophones, Jack Deere-Jones on double bass, George Whitfield on accordion and vocals, and a range of special guests including a local gypsy jazz sensation Tom Gray on guitar.
They will be performing an array of jazz standards, folk and pop songs, from which they launch into flights of daring improvisation.
West Wales Show Choir
West Wales Show Choir was formed in 2014, the aim of being a community choir offering something a little different to the traditional Welsh male voice or ladies choirs that are around in Pembrokeshire.
The choir sings music from Broadway and West End shows from early musicals like Showboat to current hit shows like Aladdin and Matilda, film musicals such as The Greatest Showman and Calamity Jane , and with the occasional pop tunes thrown in to mix things up even more!
Skylark Rising is a contemporary female singing duo. They specialise in bringing a soulful and uplifting vibe to events with music from the 1960s through to the current day.
Putting their own twist on songs by artists such as Ed Sheeran, Adele, Rod Stewart, Simon and Garfunkel, Johnny Cash, Ellie Goulding and Alison Moyet, they help create a laid back and relaxing atmosphere, with a little bit of something for everyone.

Where do the proceeds go?
Your support helps us to safeguard Stackpole for future generations to enjoy, thank you. Proceeds from the lakeside concert will help us to continue our vital conservation work on the Eastern Arm of Bosherston Lakes where we're busy removing invasive weeds and silt to retain open water habitat.
