She Trains Tri is a unique opportunity for women who want to develop and enhance their skills in triathlon disciplines in an all-female environment. The event will also feature expert talks from Paralympian, Mel Nicholls, and Clinical Dietitian, Victoria Prendeville.

Friday 26th- Sunday 28th June 2020


The weekend will take place at the 2000-acre National Trust Stackpole Estate, near Pembroke in Pembrokeshire.

The estate boasts 35km of paths that radiate from the Stackpole Centre. The beaches of Barafundle Bay and Broad haven South are within walking distance of Stackpole Estate

The Ironman Wales Cycle route goes past the entrance of the estate.

The event will be based at the National Trust Stackpole Centre.

This is a 148-bed facility with several group houses, holiday cottages and theatre & meeting rooms.

The accommodation for this course will be Swan House and Shearwater House. Swan has 13 ensuite bedrooms, sleeping up to 24 persons. Shearwater House sleeps 17 in 7 bedrooms.  Rooms can be booked on a single or shared basis.

Each group house has its own social space and outside area.

Bedding is provided, but we recommend you bring personal towels.

The talks and some of the workshops will take place in the theatre area.


The fee for the weekend includes food and beverage provided by the National Trust catering team, including breakfasts, lunches and evening meals.  On Friday evening there will be a welcome buffet, whilst on Saturday an evening BBQ will be provided.

Allergies and dietary requirements must be advised at time of booking.

We cater for vegan and vegetarian diets.

Paralympian and Endurance/Adventure Athlete, Mel Nicholls, offers her experiences and accounts from her sport, training, and own life-story; memories from her hospital bed, to winning her first international medal, her strength in the face of adversity and her definition of resilience and how this can teach us all. To adventurous tales, challenges and life on the road, combining her love for her sport with her passion for adventure and a dogged determination to push her limits.

Whether addressing a conference of hundreds, an Olympic reception with an audience of royalty, business breakfast, university graduation, school assembly, scout group or adventure festival, Mel speaks from the heart with passion and drive, with a purpose to help inspire, motivate and show everyone how to believe and to dream big.

Sports Dietician

Victoria Prendeville

Vicky is a Clinical Dietitian with over 17 years of experience working in the NHS and an accredited Sport and Exercise Performance Dietitian. Specialising in providing advice and guidance to recreational up to elite-level athlete’s on nutrition and hydration to meet individual goals and optimise health, wellbeing, and performance. She is passionate about sport and nutrition and provides advice to all age groups from youngsters involved in sport to mature and older adults.

As a keen runner and triathlete herself, she knows how important getting your nutrition and hydration right is and how this can make all the difference in terms of performance.
