The Winter Tree of Hope at Standen

This autumn we're looking for volunteers from across the country, to join a community of crafters to contribute to this year’s Winter Tree of Hope. We need your help to create a bright, bold and colourful art installation, to be displayed this winter and help us celebrate creativity, joy and most of all hope for the future.

Christmas at Standen

Make some treasured memories this Christmas at Standen as we bring you Beale family traditions from the 1930s. Take in the spectacular Winter Tree of Hope before visiting the decorated house and feel like a guest of the Beale’s this Christmas.

Fly a kite

Things to do with the kids in the South East

Launching a kite, your dad flinging it hopefully in the air then leaping to avoid the double-back and dive. But when the wind took it and the strings tugged and it was flying, actually flying - do you remember the thrill of it as a child?

Such simple pleasures are among the activities you can get stuck into with the kids at our places across the South East.
