The Forest returns
Once again we are displaying The Forest tapestry by William Morris in the Great Parlour
On display until the end of August The Forest is one of the finest tapestries Morris & Co ever produced. Now in the care of the Victoria and Albert Museum the tapestry tours the world, and once again Wolverhampton.
In 2014 we purchased four design drawings for the tapestry by Philip Webb which used to belong to Wolverhampton resident Laurence Hodson. We displayed the tapestry alongside the drawings the following year before loaning them to the V&A so that they could do the same.
Now it's back for another six month exhibition so make sure you see it whilst you can.
