Volunteer helps children with craft activity

Wray Castle isn't quite your usual National Trust property, it didn't come to us full of antiques with the accompanying owner-family history. It's a family friendly place for creative play, so that means our volunteer opportunities are a bit different here too.

If you can see yourself working in the stunning grounds of Wray Castle or welcoming visitors inside, we might just have a role for you.

We're always on the look out for new volunteers to help us look after this special place. Your enthusiam and skills might be the perfect thing for one of our exciting events such as the Children's Book Festival or if you fancy getting a bit more hands on, your energy could be put to good use outside in the grounds.

" I got so much out of volunteering at the Children's Book Festival. Seeing the kids with big smiles on their faces as they got involved in the activity I was running made my day. "
- Anne, first-time volunteer at the Children's Book Festival in 2016

Becoming a volunteer here can be flexible, it could be a regular fixture or just a few hours for a one-off event, we'll work together to make it work for you and us.
