From classics, to history, art and modern novels, there are some amazing bargains in our second-hand bookshop.
The bookshop is open 11am until 4pm every day
We are very happy to accept donations of good quality fiction and non-fiction books. We are particularly keen to add to our stock of art, architecture, history, gardening and the classics plus children's books. Unfortunately we cannot take donations of magazines, text books and digital media.
If you have more than 2 boxes of books to donate, could you please call us in advance on 01223 810086 (Reception) so we can arrange a convenient date for you to drop them off. For smaller donations, please do drop them into our Visitor Centre at any time, thank you.
All profits go to support our vital conservation work, such as the recent restoration of the Newmarket Corridor in the House.
The bookshop is located near to the rear entrance of the House. We also have shelves of general interest books in the Redwoods Restaurant, plus in the Spring and Summer a display of gardening books can be found in the Summer House which nestles in the corner of the Plant Centre. So do have a browse when visiting us.
We have a small dedicated team of volunteers who run the bookshop. If you would like to join us and volunteer in the bookshop, please e-mail our Volunteer Co-ordinator, Jack Watson.
Thank you for your support.
