Easter holidays at Bateman's
This article was about Easter 2017 at Bateman's. We'll be updating this later in the year with our 2018 Easter offer. The house, gardens and wider estate at Bateman's are teeming with new life at this time of year. Our winter conservation on the house draws to a close and we can throw open the doors on all the rooms, the gardens and estate are awash with the colour of spring flowers. It's the perfect time to get the family out and about.
Enjoy a springtime visit
This spring discover some of the magic of this family home that captivated Rudyard Kipling and his wife, Carrie. Nestling in the beautiful Sussex countryside with the gentle flow of the River Dudwell through its grounds, this house was beloved by Kipling and his family.
Wander through the rooms in the house, freshened after our winter conservation work or take a stroll through the gardens and see the beautiful colours of the spring flowers. For our more energetic visitors there are several estate walks where you can stride out and explore a bit further afield.
