Re-connect with the great outdoors this spring and enjoy Belton's Easter programme. Get hands on with fun filled activities running from Saturday 6 April through to Monday 22 April 2019.

Nettle Fest

Saturday 6 –Thursday 18 April, 9.30am-4.30pm

Take the sting out of nettles this spring and celebrate all things wild at Belton House. Discover the delights of Belton’s plant life with lots of different activities.

Creation station, 9.30am-4.30pm, £2per trail

Weave your own jewellery out of nettles  and go on a treasure hunt to find natural charms.

Demonstration station, 10am-4pm*

Discover more about the great things you can do with plants from the experts themselves. Drop by for demonstrations and workshops throughout the day.

Half-term fun in the Discovery Centre

Saturday 6 – Monday 22 April, 11am-4pm*

Open every day of the school holidays. Come along to discover more about Belton’s creative woman, Florence Woolward, and her orchid illustrations. Create your own plant life watercolours too.

Ranger pack adventures

Saturday 6 – Monday 22 April, 11am-4pm*

Explore Belton with a Ranger Pack this Easter. Borrow a pack from the Discovery Centre and simply return it at the end of your visit. Each pack comes with all the equipment that you need and shows the best places to take part in ranger activities. There are four ranger activities to choose from:

  • Create: be an artist
  • Explore: be a tree detective
  • Discover: be a twitcher
  • Discover: be a bug hunter

Garden detectives

Wednesday 10 & 17 April, 11am-12noon, £3per person

Become a detective and search for clues that tell us more about the history of Belton’s gardens on a special family tour.It's been specially designed with children aged 5 years and over in mind. There's limited tickets available, so pre-booking is essential.

Family house tour

Thursday 11 & 18 April, 11am-12noon, £3per person

Discover the untold stories of Belton House with this interactive tour. It’s been specially designed for families with children aged 5 years and over in mind. Spaces are limited, so pre-booking online is essential.

Spring bulb planting

Sunday 28 April, 2-4pm*

Join the garden team to ‘have a go’ bulb planting and help add to Belton’s annual spring flower display.

All aboard

Attention all passengers, collect a choo-choo loyalty card from Belton’s miniature train to receive your tenth journey free. Train tickets cost £1.50 per ride.
