We're open for winter weekends

Brownsea Island is open for winter weekends between Saturday February 2 and Sunday March 10 Mar, 10am to 4pm. From Saturday March 16 the island will be open daily until Sunday November 3 2019.

Plan your winter weekend on Brownsea

Winter brings serenity to the island and at just 1.5 miles long and 0.75 miles wide it’s easy to explore in a day.  Watch Spoonbills elegantly sweep the lagoon for food; marvel at the wintry views across the harbour or even catch a glimpse of spring time daffodils before their yellow flowers get nibbled by the Sika deer.

Step aboard The Enterprise from Sandbanks

The National Trust boat - the Enterprise, will be running the service from Sandbanks for the winter weekends.  She's a smaller vessel than the service running from Poole, but as it's a quick 10 minute voyage over from Sandbanks, it's a great way to start your adventure. The vessel is relatively open to the elements and there are no facilities on board. There is also stepped access onto the boat so visitors must be confident at stepping in and out of the vessel unaided. Less able visitors are encouraged to either come from Poole Quay or get in touch if you have any questions: 01202 707 744.
