What's on at Brownsea Island

We're looking forward to welcoming you this summer. Please note that for pre-booked visits, you must travel to Brownsea Island on the ferry service time as specified on your booking. Visiting times are no longer restricted, meaning that there is no fixed return time and you may once again catch any returning ferry from Brownsea Island back to Poole Quay. Return ferries from the island back to Poole Quay for day visitors will be operating half-hourly from 12.30 onwards. All visitors (including members) are required to pay the ferry fare. Tickets allocated for pre-booking are released every Friday for visits the following week. Booking closes at 3pm the day before your visit.

Visiting Brownsea Island: what you need to know

Brownsea Island is open until 31 October. Although you are no longer required to book your visit in advance, we are continuing to offer a limited number of pre-bookable tickets. Booking is advised in order to guarantee entry at busier times like school holidays and weekends. Same-day walk up visitors may now arrange a visit to Brownsea without an advanced booking, by visiting the yellow Brownsea Island Ferries company kiosk on Poole Quay. Same-day visitors will pay for their boat fare and island admission on arrival at Brownsea. In this article you’ll find everything you need to know about how to get here, what's open and what to expect from your visit.
