It’s that time of year again when we team up with Cadbury to offer you a great day out. Join the Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt over the Easter weekend at Calke Abbey.

Please note that Calke Abbey is completely closed and this event is now cancelled to restrict the spread of the coronavirus. Check the homepage for updates to opening arrangements.

Have a magical Easter

Hunting for a way to make your Easter weekend magical? Look no further! Make amazing discoveries in nature this spring as you embark on a self-led adventure in the great outdoors. Have a go at some creative activities along the way, then enjoy a delicious chocolate treat.

The Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt takes place from Friday 10 April to Monday 13 April, 11am to 3.30pm. The hunt costs £3 per child, and children must bring their adult along. Head over to the meadow to pick up an activity sheet.

Create your own adventure

There's no set route for the Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt this year, so there's no limit to where you can explore. We'll have lots of Easter helpers around to set you off on a great adventure – whether you want to head out on a long walk in the wider parkland, or stick to the Stableyard area or gardens.

For accessible routes, pop into the ticket office to pick up a map and we'll show you to best routes for your needs.

Avoid the crowds

The Easter Bunny is always very busy at Calke Abbey (especially on sunny days!), so if you want to avoid the crowds, we recommend arriving in the afternoon. Keep an eye on social media for regular updates on the best times to visit.

By having no set route this year, we're hoping to alleviate some of the pressure on the historic parkland. You're free to explore far and wide at your own pace, while helping us to look after this special place.
