We have over 250 volunteers at Cotehele who help us in the house, garden, mill, shop, gallery, restaurants, aboard 'Shamrock' and across the whole estate. So how could you get involved?

Volunteering with us can be an exciting and rewarding experience. You'll learn new skills, meet new people and work right at the heart of this amazing place. Full training and guidance plus travel expenses and National Trust discounts will be given.

Current positions and get in touch

In particular we're looking for:

  • volunteer room guides on weekends in the house

  • volunteers to help in the art and craft gallery

  • volunteers to help with school visits in the house

  • volunteers to help look after the plants for sale in the shop

  • volunteers to help visitors explore 'Shamrock', the 1899 sailing barge

  • volunteers to work in facilities maintenance

  • volunteers to help look after Cotehele Mill

  • volunteers to help in the restaurants
