Get moving at this outdoor gym

Runners at Gibside, Tyne & Wear

You might be familiar with Gibside as a place for a gentle stroll, a yummy scone or a spot of bird-watching, but we also think it's quite possibly one of the best gyms around.

With its gorgeous gardens and stunning surroundings, the backdrop here is pretty unbeatable.

There's over 600 acres, so you're not short of space. Plus, if it's not quiet it's only the bird song you can hear. We have a weekly sports offer (details are below) or alternatively, we have one-off events, some are quite challenging if you're up for it?...

If you quite fancy the Great North Run, we might be able to help. We've got two tickets to this awesome North East event to give away.  So how can you get your hands on them? Well, every Saturday morning at parkrun and Sunday morning at Great Run Local we're going to be selling raffle tickets for £2, and the prize is a Great North Run space.

The funds will go towards conserving the avenue road.
