Follow Lady Spencer’s walk in the woods and discover the beautiful display of autumnal colours around you while splashing about in the mud in your wellies. Find the golden leaf

While you’re keeping your eyes peeled for the autumn challenges, see if you can spot our golden leaf! We’ve hidden it across the estate… will it be in the orchards in the gardens? Or will it be in the herb garden? Or perhaps it will be in the parkland? Can you claim yourself as the golden leaf spotter?

Walks and wildlife

Take a walk across the parkland and down to our beautiful ponds. See if you can spot the variety of wildlife that call Hardwick their home. From our long horn cattle bred by the tenant farmers to the feathered friends splashing about in the ponds. Pick up some conkers, acorns or twigs and create some wild art as a memory from your adventure.
