October half-term at Hardwick

Child paper crafting

Get hands on at Hardwick this year and help us prepare for the big Christmas opening, or be brave and take part in our Hallowe'en activities and trail.

Visit Hardwick this October half-term and enjoy the estate in the autumn colours. Wrap up warm for an estate walk or visit the gardens where you can get hands on helping the gardeners rake and collect leaves. Treat yourself to a hot chocolate and a warming dish in the restaurant using the estate's produce this harvest.

This year, there is a unique opportunity to get hands-on by helping Hardwick prepare for Christmas. During October half-term visitors will be able to make paper decorations that will create festive displays for the Hall over the Christmas period. From simple shapes to more challenging pieces, there will be an opportunity for all the family to get creative and be a part of Hardwick’s Christmas.

With your help at half-term, Hardwick will be able to 'wow' visitors and help create memories during the festive season. Make a festive family memory at Hardwick this year and come back to see the displays that you helped create.

Visit during half-term 21-29 October (Wednesday to Sunday only), 11am-4pm get hands-on and creative, as well as doing the spooky Hallowe'en activities in the outdoors.
