Forest fun Thursday
Get back to your wild side and learn new forest and woodland skills this summer.
Led by experienced forest school leaders, you'll learn forest skills and try activities like den building, wild art and campfire cooking.
Thursday 2 August: Have a go at some wool weaving using hazel and wool to make hanging decoration. Then collect around the camp fire to make herby bread.
Thursday 9 August: Practise your wood skills and saw a wooden disc to decorate to make a badge. After grab some bread and tomatoes to make some toms on toast over the camp fire.
Thursday 16 August: Using sticks from Killerton create your stick figure. Today's camp fire cooking you'll be making forest doughnuts.
Thursday 23 August: Create a lasting memory with a memory stick before toasting smores' on the camp fire.
Thursday 30 August: Waking from a good dream is always hard, but keep them close by using willow and hazel to make a dreamcatcher. You'll definitely want to be awake after though as you'll be making purple pancakes.
Come and join in between 11am and 3pm at the forest school site on the Clump. Materials for all activites are provided you just need to be in outdoor clothing and getting to the site is part of the adventure.
£3 per child there's no need to book just turn up on the day, normal admission fees apply.
