Eating and Shopping
You can choose between sitting inside in the café or outside in the tea garden. A maximum of 6 people or two family groups can sit together indoors. The café is also still operating a one way system and we're required to capture details from everyone over the age of 16 for test and trace. This includes both inside and outside tables. Please don't forget your mask.
Tasty treats, hearty one pots and quick snacks are on offer in the cafe at the top of the garden and, if you need a quick pitstop, the horsebox is open near the house for everything you need for an impromptu picnic, including delicious Sussex ice cream.
Our shop and plant centre are open.
Our new Riding House Café.
We are converting the old Riding House next to the house, into a much needed additional café in the heart of the garden. There may be some disruption while we complete building work. The café should be ready in time for autumn 2021.
