Things to do at Nymans this September

Enjoy a quieter time of year to visit with a walk in the garden making the most of the warm days. The exhibition in the gallery 'The Triumph of Hope' runs until October 28 and we'll be opening the ruins to visitors in September; don't forget to make a note in your diary so you don't miss the opportunity to explore the Great Hall.

Nymans Ruins Open Days

September 8, 9, 15 & 16 11am - 3pm. We open the ruins just a couple of days each year so don't miss this rare opportunity to discover what lies inside and beneath the romantic skeleton of the Messel home. You can wander through the ruined Great Hall and visit the Billiard Room underneath, accessed only via a spiral staircase. Discover what happened on the night of the fire that brought the house to ruin and learn about our plans to open the ruins in future.

Heritage Open Days

For this year's Heritage Open Days we're participating in the 'European Days of Jewish Culture' initiative. We'll be looking at the Messel family's Jewish history and telling the story of one family member's flight from oppression.
