What's open?

The Castle, garden, parkland, shop and stable cafe are open. This includes our 'What a World!' exhibition on the ground floor. The Victorian Kitchens and Railway Museum remain closed. On weekdays you don’t need to pre-book your visit. At busier times, like weekends, bank holidays and school holidays, booking is recommended to guarantee entry. We ask everyone to follow Welsh Government Regulations when visiting. We look forward to welcoming you back.

Children's Gardening Week at Penrhyn Castle: Pollen Counts 

This half term we’re looking at the wonderful world of pollinators and how they keep our garden growing. Follow the bees on our Pollen Trail and find out why pollen counts. Make a pledge to nature, find out how you can make your garden a haven for bugs and insects, and try your hand at growing a giant sunflower at home. Can you grow one bigger than our head Gardener's?

Our Easter adventure in nature trails at Penrhyn Castle and Garden have been extended into May. Discover our family-friendly trail with fun activities for you to do along the way. Complete the trail and earn your chocolate reward at the end.

What refreshments are available?

The Stable Cafe is open from 10.30am to 4pm daily serving a limited selection of drinks, cakes, hot savoury pies, Red Boat gelato and pre-packaged sandwiches for take away only. We’ve introduced new safety measures including closure of our seating areas, screens at our till and collection points, and waymarked routes. We look forward to welcoming you back and know that you’ll support us to make this a safe experience for everyone.

Stop off at our shop

Our 'Stablau' (Stables) shop at the Castle stables and Horsebox shop at the Visitor Centre is open from daily from 10.30am to 4pm. For the safety of staff and visitors, social distancing measures are in place. It is through your purchases that we are able to continue looking after Penrhyn Castle and Garden] for everyone, for ever.
