Welcome to Woodfest

Once again the hugely popular Anglesey Woodland Festival returns to Plas Newydd and this year it promises to be bigger and better than ever before.

Celebrate all things woodland - 24 and 25 September

Enjoy a great family day out among the trees as we celebrate all things woodland this September.

Learn new skills from local craftsmen and women: watch demonstrations of green wood-working, carving and blacksmithing - then have a go yourself! You can make a nail or whittle a spoon and then treat yourself to marshmallows toasted over the fire.

Fence building is fun!

Woodland wildlife

Get up close to beautiful birds of prey and see them in action during spectacular flying displays. Then make some wild creatures of your own in our craft workshops.

Learn some useful bushcraft skills like how to make a woodland shelter - handy if it rains!

We need our trees

Find out why our woodlands are so important to the environment and learn about the ecosystems they support. Explore coutryside traditions such as beekeeping and apple growing.

Get foraging

Learn all about wild food and what's safe to eat from the hedgerow. But if that doesn't fill you up you can enjoy great local food and drink from a wide selection of stalls. You can also do a little shopping from a range of craft stalls.
