Come out and play at Plas Newydd
On your marks, get set, go! Remember those hot, long days of summers past, sitting on freshly cut grass with your 'houses' and shouting encouragement to friends on school sports day? Why not enjoy your very own family sports day here at Plas Newydd this summer?
This summer, we're bringing sports day back - and this time, the whole family can join in!
As one of only two National Trust places in Wales to be hosting the nationwide Summer of Sport in 2019, Plas Newydd House and Garden are ready and set for the challenge to get more rosy cheeks and happy bedtimes this summertime (and that's including the parents and grandparents!)
Every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday throughout the school summer holidays, there'll be plenty of opportunity to play. With a wide selection of sports activities to suit all abilities and ages, we want the whole family to get outdoors and remember how it felt to be part of those exciting days when all that mattered was being outside and taking part.
It really doesn't matter how good you are, or how long it's been since you last picked up a hula hoop or a tennis racquet, it's all about getting outdoors and enjoying those family days, hopefully with some sunshine thrown in. With a fantastic location and stunning views across the Menai Strait to Snowdon, we have a great place to make those memories together.
We'll have supervised sports out on the lawn by the Wooden cabin including hurdles, badminton, tennis and the 'bean bag dash' to name but a few. Why not challenge Mum or Grandad to an egg and spoon race? Or see who can hop the fastest?
So, whether it's been a few weeks or a few years since sports day, join us and create your very own with your family this summer.
