Half term fun at Seaton Delaval Hall

Families enjoying the Parterre in autumn

Enjoy the last days of sunshine during half term as we host our annual Halloween day on 31 October and enjoy the last of the long opening hours from 31 October - 3 November.

Pull on your wellies and have fun in the colourful, changing leaves this half term at Seaton Delaval Hall. We're open Thursday 31 October - Sunday 3 November with lots for everyone to enjoy.

Our games chest will be available in the Paddock throughout the week, so grab a ball and challenge your friends and family to your favourite game.  Younger children can also continue to enjoy the play equipment in the Secret Garden.  Children aged 12 and over may enjoy taking part in one of the final scaffold climbs of the year.

It's your last chance to see the Delaval sheep this year before they go off to hibernate during the winter months.  Have a wander around the grounds and see how many you can find. Each one represents a different character of the Delaval family; pick up a spotter sheet from Visitor Welcome and see if you can work out who's who.

Thursday 31 October marks our annual Halloween fun day and as usual there will be competitions for the best outfits and best carved pumpkins, so get practising and bring yours in for judging on the day.

Make and Do has its final sessions for the year on Sunday 27 October and Sunday 3 November in the Community Kitchen Garden.  Don't miss your chance to get crafty!

You can also enjoy a walk, run, hop, skip or jump around the gardens.  There's still lots to enjoy in the grounds and when you're cold and tired and in need of a warm up call in and see Margaret and the team in the cafe for a warming soup or hot chocolate.
