Improving the car park

A National Trust Omega sign

We've received planning permission and changed the existing car park at Shugborough to offer more hard-standing parking that can be used at all times of the year.

To address the demand created by the expected increase in visitor numbers, we've created around 150 extra all-weather spaces by removing grassed areas within the car park and marking out the spaces more effectively. This have also more than double the number of disabled parking spaces on site, from just eight to 21 spaces.

These plans have not changed the size of the area used for car parking, so will not result in the loss of any of the important Grade I Listed parkland, but has created better year-round parking facilities, future-proofed for years to come.
