This month saw the instillation of hearing loops and a new fire alarms system in the Mansion. Our team installed new benches with the help of your donations, and worked hard to water our gardens with the high temperatures. We celebrated the hard work of our volunteers during volunteer’s week; there are still plenty of opportunities for you to gift your time with us.

The warm bank holidays welcomed the swallows and house martins, the beautiful bluebells and the harvesting of tasty vegetables. The wisteria was in full bloom across the Servant’s Quarters, and the garden team began their series of discovery tours around the Walled Garden. Rangers fixed and installed new fence lines around the Parkland, and the toilets at the Mansion were fully refurbished. The most exciting event was the birth of our calf, Sid.

Easter brought with it the birth of our lambs and flowering of the sea of daffodils. Our garden team were awarded a bronze health standard, and finished the new planting in the dahlia glasshouse and in the car park. The farm team introduced herbal lay, which is a method of seeding the ground to improve the health of the soil and biodiversity of the fields.
