In celebration of the much-loved classic, The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter, Frederick Warne & Co. Ltd. (now part of Penguin Random House UK) are delighted to present The World of Peter Rabbit™ Storytime Trail at Knole in 2025.

Avoid disappointing your little bunnies and ensure you book your visit to Knole in advance, as we expect to be busy.

In celebration of the much-loved classic, The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter, Frederick Warne & Co. Ltd. (now part of Penguin Random House UK) are delighted to present The World of Peter Rabbit™ Storytime Trail at Knole from Thursday 22 May to Monday 25 August 2025.

Hop into this walkthrough experience and immerse yourself in The Tale of Peter Rabbit. Little bunnies can crawl under the garden gate, hide behind a watering can, and see their reflection in a mirror pool, just like Peter Rabbit! With photo opportunities and activities to take part in along the way, there’s plenty to enjoy. The activity area will include dressing-up, colouring, toys such as Mr McGregor's fruit and veg sorting station, and a reading corner.

Things you need to know about The World of Peter Rabbit™ Storytime Trail

The Trail is open daily Thursday 22 May to Monday 25 August 2025, 10am-5pm (last entry 4.30pm). Pre-book your admission and then hop along and enjoy the Trail.

 

What's the best admission option for you?

Entry to the Trail is included with your admission ticket. This is free for National Trust members.

If you're not a National Trust member, the minimum ticket required is an Outdoor and Tower ticket. This costs £6 for an adult and £3 for a child aged 5-17.

If you plan to visit the showrooms as well as the Gatehouse Tower and The World of Peter Rabbit™ Storytime Trail, the Showrooms, Outdoor and Tower ticket will be the best option for you. This costs £18 for an adult and £9 for a child aged 5-17. Please pre-book the ticket that is the best value for you.

Under 5s are free for National Trust members and non-members.

We're expecting to be busy, so remember to pre-book

  • Pre-booking admission is essential. You do not need to pre-book entry to the Trail separately - it is included with your admission ticket.
  • National Trust members and free pass holders must also pre-book.
  • Car parking is included with admission tickets. There is no separate car park charge.
  • Tickets are released every Thursday to cover the next 28 days.

On the day of your visit

  • Please have proof of your booking and your National Trust membership card (if applicable) to show at the Gatebox entry point.
  • Once you have parked, please go to the Visitor Centre to redeem your booking and pick up your Trail leaflet.
  • The Trail is situated inside, in the Orangery.
  • Food and drink is not permitted in the Orangery, so have your snacks and drinks before you enter.
  • No dogs (except assistance dogs) are permitted in the Trail.
  • There is a covered area to leave prams and pushchairs outside the Trail.
  • Step-free access to the Trail is available via a lift in the Bookshop.

The World of Peter Rabbit™ Storytime Trail events

Early family opening | Sat 7 and Sun 8 June | 9.15am and 9.45am

Are you an early riser? Join us for an early pre-bookable family session to visit The World of Peter Rabbit™ Storytime Trail. There arte two sessions available: one starting at 9.15am and the other at 9.45am. Arrive bright and early to explore the Gatehouse Tower, shops, Visitor Centre, courtyards and visit The World of Peter Rabbit™ Storytime Trail. Grab a coffee and a tasty breakfast bap in Brewhouse Café.
Normal admission applies; booking essential. 
 

 

Relaxed session | Sat 21 and Sun 22 June | 9.15-10.15am

Relaxed sessions for The World of Peter Rabbit™ Storytime Trail at Knole are for anyone who will benefit from experiencing Knole when it's less busy. The sessions may be especially useful and enjoyable for visitors with additional learning needs, autism, or visual impairment. During the sessions visitor numbers are limited, and sensory bags and communication cards tailored to Knole are available to enhance or aid the experience.
The Brewhouse Café will be open for refreshments and the gift shop will be open for a quieter shopping experience. A designated quiet area is available for visitors to use should they require a break.
Free event but booking essential as spaces are limited.
