We're open daily

The Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt runs from Friday 30 March until Monday 2 April and
a Nature Trail from 3-15 April with Lambing Time from Saturday 21 April until Sunday 7 May.
Car parking spaces are likely to fill up fast, especially on Good Friday, Easter Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday, so if we don’t see you then, we look forward to seeing you another day!

Queues are inevitable at peak times so please be patient on arrival, usually if you arrive later in the day the queues are shorter.
We have great adventures planned for everyone to enjoy, so make sure you don’t miss out this Spring.

Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt

Wimpole is home to all sorts of wonderful wildlife. See how many creatures you can find hiding in our gardens, complete our fun word search and claim your chocolate prize (normal admission plus £2.50 per hunt) Explore the gardens further by finding the secret tunnels, new pathways and more, at the end of the trail find Millie our sheep sculpture and add your own piece of wool to her fleece.

Family Spring Nature Trail - Wild Wimpole Welly Walk

Taking place from the 3 - 15 April, this family-friendly nature trail through the parkland includes a fun nature quiz and the chance to tick off several of our 50 Things activities in one go, plus take home your own packet of seeds and watch them grow.

Trails cost £2.50 and include the trail sheet, the loan of a pair of binoculars and a bug pot, and a packet of seeds to take home.

Lambing Time at Home Farm

From 21 April - 7 May see our ewes close up in the viewing marquee and if you're lucky a live birth; learn more about our rare breeds and why we keep them, plus all the other farm animals.

New Arable Farm Walk

Every Tuesday and Saturday from 3 April until 5 May, 11am and 2pm, join our hour long Arable Farm Walk starting from the Great Barn  discovering past histories, archaeology, wildlife and nature, as well as our current farming practices and crops we're growing today.  (walk itself is free but farm admission required)


In the Hall grab a History Adventure Trail to help you discover some weird and wonderful books, Roman Emperors and a giant plunge bath.  With a new exhibition in the Red Room, don't miss the 3D model of the Yellow Drawing Room, a room that Sir John Soane the architect created for the 3rd Earl of Hardwicke.

The Parkland

Join our Family Spring Nature Trail and discover some of our smaller wildlife.  For a short walk around the park discovering some of the past landscapes join Wimpole’s Sunday Walk at 11am – a free guided walk around the parkland.  For something a little longer Wimpole’s Wednesday Walk 11am-2pm is a free guided walk around the estate, taking in views and vistas you may have not yet discovered. 

Please Note:  normal admission applies unless stated otherwise.  Not all activities will be running every day, therefore we advise you to check our What's On pages for further information.  
Payers need to buy tickets in the Stable Block, NT Members can go straight to their destination.  Unfortunately scooters and bikes are not allowed in the gardens or at Home Farm so please leave them in the car after riding in the park.
