Wimpole's proposed multi-use trail

Kids cycling

In partnership with Sport England, Wimpole Estate is part of a national project to provide multi-use trails at some of our places.

We're passionate about getting people outdoors and closer to nature. Our aim is to make access to the parkland as easy as possible and make people feel comfortable about heading off into the countryside.

What's multi-use?

The trails will be multi-use, intended for walkers, runners, cyclists and adapted wheelchair users. They’re aimed at people who aren’t regularly taking part in activity, not for confident cyclists or mountain bikers.

The surfaces are not designed for racing road bikes, but for families looking for an easy, safe route that can get them active and enjoying time outside together.

What happens next?

We've submitted plans for approval by South Cambs District Council  which should be viewable online.
