The best spots to picnic at Attingham

Pack up your favourite sandwiches; we’ve picked some of the best picnic spots around Attingham to eat al fresco.

Find your perfect spot…

With a great view

Pick a spot on the lawn in front of the Mansion close to the river. There’s plenty of amazing views of the Deer Park, the Wrekin and further afield.

That’s a peaceful get away

The Walled Garden is a great get away for some peace and quiet, with the Bee Lawn being a perfect place to lay out your picnic blanket. If you want somewhere more secluded, you’ll have to get your walking boots on first to head up into the woodland.

Where the children can run wild

There’s lots of space and picnic tables in the playfield for your summer feast. Children can run riot on the play equipment before tiring themselves out ready for their sandwiches.

Away from the rain

We can’t always promise sunshine, so if the weather takes a turn for the worse, you can shelter inside the Bothy in the Walled Garden or cover in the Welcome Centre which is in the Stables Courtyard.
