Shopping inspired by special places
The Calke Abbey gift shop is open every day from 10am. Pop into the Stableyard to find a range of quality and local gifts from books to bird boxes, scarves to sculptures and a selection of National Trust favourites such as preserves, teas and biscuits. You might find you’re spoilt for choice!
Accessories inspired by nature
Bring a little of the outdoors into your home with our nature-inspired homeware, from scented candles and bright picnic blankets, to rustic kitchenware and Calke Abbey inspired mugs.
Why not treat yourself to something special? We stock a stunning range of scarves and bags that make great gifts, too.
Gardening for all the seasons
The National Trust looks after hundreds of gardens so we understand that they need year-round attention to look their best. That’s why we stock bulbs, birdhouses, ornaments and useful gardening tools so you can keep your garden in shape all year.
From March to October, you’ll find a colourful range of plants in the restaurant courtyard to buy, so you can take a little bit of Calke into your own garden.
The outdoors range
At Calke Abbey, we love the great outdoors. That's why we stock a range of outdoor clothing so you can always be prepared for outdoor adventures – from fleeces and hats to walking socks and boots.
We also have plenty of useful accessories for dog walkers, campers and picnicking, including collapsible water bowls, camping tools and picnic hampers. If you like to take hot drinks on the go, we stock eco-friendly bamboo cups – bring along your re-usable cup and we'll give you a 25p discount on any hot drink in the restaurant and café.
Keeping it local
On top of the usual selection of National Trust goodies – including preserves, biscuits, shortbread and sweeties, we stock lots of locally sourced food and drink in the gift shop.
Pick up some sausages and bacon, reared locally at Standley’s Barn Farm – their produce is award-winning! Don’t miss our selection of craft lagers, bitters and pale ales which are brewed using traditional techniques at the Tollgate microbrewery, located on the Calke Estate.
You can never have too many books! Browse a range of subjects from nature and travel to crafts and cookery.
You can learn more about Calke Abbey and the local area with our collection of local history books and maps. Pick up a copy of the guidebook to accompany your visit.
Keep the kids entertained
It’s easy to keep little explorers busy in the children’s section. They can spend their pocket money on books, games, puzzles, cuddly toys – or even some shiny knight’s armour.
Money well spent
When you treat yourself to something special, you’re helping to fund vital work to look after special places like Calke Abbey. We thank you for your support.
