Shopping inspired by special places
Open from 9.30am daily, find seasonal products inspired by special places in Calke's gift shop, located in the Stableyards.
In line with government guidelines, Calke Abbey's shop and second-hand bookshop are open daily from 9.30am–5pm. There's a one-way system in the stableyards and shop in order to help us maintain social distancing, and we've installed screens inside so you can shop safely.
You're required to wear a face covering inside, unless you are exempt, so please bring one with you. Please note we are only accepted card and contactless payments.
Homeware inspired by special places
Find beautiful products for your home all year around, including a range of picnic blankets, cosy throws and candles to fill your home with your favourite aroma. We also stock the usual National Trust favourites, such as tea towels, mugs and nature-inspired crockery.
Whether you're looking for that special gift or treating yourself this spring, we have a range of gorgeous nature-inspired accessories, including handbags, purses, gloves and scarves.
The outdoors range
At Calke Abbey, we love the great outdoors. That's why we stock a range of outdoor clothing so you can always be prepared for outdoor adventures – from fleeces and hats to walking socks and boots. This includes our range of Jack Wolfskin garments which are created from recycled plastic.
We also have plenty of useful accessories for dog walkers, campers and picnicking, including collapsible water bowls, camping tools and picnic hampers. If you like to take hot drinks on the go, we stock eco-friendly bamboo cups.
Gardening for all the seasons
The National Trust looks after hundreds of gardens so we understand that they need year-round attention to look their best. That’s why we stock bulbs, birdhouses, ornaments and useful gardening tools so you can keep your garden in shape all year.
Time for tea?
It wouldn't be a National Trust gift shop without the biscuits, shortbreads and delectable chocolates! We stock a range of mouth-watering goodies, from preserves and jams to gingerbread men and sweeties – many of which are locally sourced.
Don't miss the selection of coffees to wash down the biscuits – or if you're looking for something a little stronger, there's a special selection of wines and gins to tingle your tastebuds.
At Calke we are proud to be home of our own second-hand bookshop, offering a variety of adventures for all bookworms. All books are kindly donated by our volunteers, staff and of course, you! The bookshop is located just opposite the shop, at the entrance to the restaurant.
