Learning opportunities at Clumber Park

Child pond dipping at Clumber Park

We provide an exciting and stimulating environment for educational activities all year round and offer an excellent resource for curriculum-based work, particularly for Key Stages 1 and 2.

A base to explore

The Discovery Centre is the main base and meeting point for all our learning activities. It's a great place to learn more about Clumber Park's history, our amazing array of wildlife and get involved in fun, seasonal activities.

The Discovery Centre is also home to our pondlife exploration tank, where you can spot water beetles, water snails and try and spot the stick insect.

Our sessions

Some of the sessions can be combined to make a full day session if required. On booking an activity, schools will be offered a classroom space at the Discovery Centre and coach parking is free.

We offer sessions on the following topics:

  • Habitats
  • Seasonal themes
  • Gardens
  • Minibeasts
  • Fantastic fungi
  • Story sessions
  • Wild art / sculpting with natural materials
  • Estate story
  • Orienteering
  • Totally trees
