Learning opportunities at Clumber Park

Child pond dipping at Clumber Park

We provide an exciting and stimulating environment for educational activities all year round and offer an excellent resource for curriculum-based work, particularly for Key Stages 1 and 2.

A base to explore

The Discovery Centre is the main base and meeting point for all our learning activities. It's a great place to learn more about Clumber Park's history, our amazing array of wildlife and get involved in fun, seasonal activities.

The Discovery Centre is also home to our pondlife exploration tank, where you can spot water beetles, water snails and try and spot the stick insect.

Our sessions

Come and join us for a full or half day experience, combining a number of activities. On booking an activity, schools will be offered a classroom space at the Discovery Centre and free coach parking.

We offer sessions on the following topics:
  • Habitats
  • Animals of Clumber
  • Gardens
  • Minibeasts
  • Fantastic fungi
  • Story sessions
  • Wild art
  • Orienteering
  • Totally trees
  • Pond dipping
  • Preserving nature and the environment
  • The water cycle

Some of these topics are seasonal, but can be adapted to suit your requirements.
