Join our team

Volunteers are already active in our teams at Clumber Park but there is huge potential for more volunteer involvement. The last two years have been strange and often challenging for many of us, and during this time, volunteers have provided crucial support and have been vital in helping us continue to welcome our visitors safely.

During National Volunteer Week, from 1-7 June, we will not only be recognising and celebrating the achievements of our incredible people, but we will start to search and recruit for new volunteers from our local communities. Whether you are looking to make new friends or enhance your CV, volunteering is a great opportunity to make a real difference.

We have a range of opportunities and volunteer roles available in the following areas:

Activity and Experience volunteering: Come and join our Programming & Partnerships team, supporting visitors of all ages to explore and discover the magic of our beautiful park.

Business Services volunteering: Are you organised, computer literate with great communication skills? Can you work across teams and independently? Our business services team will be expanding over the summer.

Central Bark Dog Walk volunteering: Are you passionate about our four-legged friends?  Central Bark is a destination for many visitors and their dogs, and we need assistance with our popular dog walking programme in the park, every Wednesday morning.

Cycle Hub volunteering: Are you mad about cycling?  Could you help with bike maintenance, cycle hire and riding activity?  We are looking for enthusiastic team players to join our hub in preparation for a busy summer holiday.

Facilities volunteering: Are you handy at making and fixing?  Can you support our incredible team in maintaining and securing our built structures.

Gardens volunteering: We are looking for green fingered enthusiasts, with a range of experience and skills to help care for our beautiful gardens. This team is very popular so you must be able work well with others and bring lots of energy to the role.

Nature Surveying volunteering: Do you like to spot wildlife, insects and creatures of all shapes and sizes?  Come & join our Countryside team and help us with our important conservation work.

Retail & Plant Sales volunteering: Can you help us take deliveries, move and manage stock and support our team in making our shop and garden sales inviting to visitors?

Bookshop volunteering: Are you a fundraiser? We are looking for incredible individuals to support with the selling of donated books from our renowned second-hand bookshop.  All the money raised through the shop is reinvested back into the Park.

Visitor Welcome & Service volunteering: Can you provide service with a smile and help keep our places looking their best? Can you help with parking & directions and are you motivated to ensure our visitors have the best day out possible? If so, this could be the team for you.
