Natural play area
Discover the natural play area, the perfect place to sit and enjoy the summer sun at one of the many picnic benches scattered around. Children can test their balance on tree trunks, build dens, sit on the wooden throne and scramble over logs amongst the trees.
RAF themed playground
Children can let their imagination run wild in the RAF themed playground with a control tower, scramble net, bunker, jeep, slides and swings.
See the birds feasting at the feeders and see if you can spot a cheeky squirrel.
Family activity cabin
Summer showers? The family activity cabin near the Visitor Centre is a great place to pick up a free spotter sheet or 50 Things scrapbook with lots of ideas to do on a rainy day.
Become a time explorer
Become a time explorer following the free 'Time Explorers' trail around the house - can you solve all the clues?
See the giant model in the basement of the house - take it apart and see if you can rebuild it.
Have fun colouring in the activity room at the house.
Borrow a free explorer rucksack from reception full of fun activities for all the family.
'Under the radar' audio trail
Follow the free audio trail at the listening posts which takes you on a journey around the visitor centre.
An Archery GB qualified instructor will show you how to shoot a 'Recurve Bow' with as much time spent shooting arrows as possible. This event is suitable for 8+ years and adults. All bows, arrows and safety equipment are supplied. The event takes place on Sunday, 25 June, 10am-4.30pm, £7 per person.
