A range of wild activities to do out in the parkland throughout the summer. Your adventure will depend on which route you take.

Potter & Ponder map
Our sensory ‘Potter & Ponder’ map encourages our visitors to experience the beautiful parkland using touch, sight, sound, taste and smell during their visit. Download your map below of pick up a free copy at our Visitor Centre.
Natural play area
Discover the natural play area, the perfect place to sit and enjoy the summer sun at one of the many picnic benches scattered around. Children can test their balance on tree trunks, build dens, sit on the wooden throne and scramble over logs amongst the trees.
RAF themed playground
Children can let their imagination run wild in the RAF themed playground with a control tower, scramble net, bunker, jeep, slides and swings.
See the birds feasting at the feeders and see if you can spot a cheeky squirrel.
The Visitor Centre is a great place to pick up a free spotter sheet or ’50 things to do before you’re 11¾' activity list with lots of ideas to do.
See the giant model in the basement of the house - take it apart and see if you can rebuild it.
Have fun colouring in the activity room at the house.
