Croome’s second-hand bookshop is a great spot to pick up a bargain and help support our conservation work.
From the classics, to history, art, modern novels, there are some amazing reads, thanks to generous donations from visitors.
A dedicated team of volunteers are kept busy sorting through the donations and ensuring the shelves are constantly brimming with books.
Rare or unique books often make an appearance - one book fetched over £100 and a large nighteenth century book on sheep was bought for £35. All the profits from the Friends of Croome bookshop go towards funding at Croome - most recently £2,500 was raised towards buying garden equipment.
Make sure to stop in at the bookshop, at our main Visitor Centre, during your next visit to Croome and pick up a bargain.
" We love volunteering in the bookshop - it's fascinating to see the variety of books that people kindly donate. "
