Visiting this spring 

Our gardens, parks and countryside locations are open. Cafés are offering a takeaway service and some outdoor seating is available at cafés in England only. Some shops are open in England and Wales but remain closed in Northern Ireland. All houses are currently closed. The safety of our staff, volunteers and visitors remains our priority. To avoid disappointment please book in advance, especially at busier times such as weekends and bank holidays. Please check the property webpage before you visit and follow government guidance.

Restoring the Roundhouse 

In Birmingham we are working in partnership with the Canal and River Trust to restore the Roundhouse - a unique, curvy building which was first built as the city's stables and stores. Thanks to £2.5m funding from a National Lottery grant, work is due to be completed in autumn 2018.

Working towards a sustainable future at Moseley Road Baths 

We are part of a coalition which, together with Birmingham City Council is seeking to secure the future of the important heritage building which is Moseley Road Baths. The coalition includes Friends of Moseley Road Baths, Moseley Road Baths Action Group, Historic England and the World Monuments Fund. Birmingham families have been swimming here for 110 years and it is now one of the UK's most significant swimming pools.

Prejudice and Pride is the National Trust's event to mark 50 years since the partial decriminalisation of homosexuality. In Birmingham, staff and volunteers took to the streets for the annual Pride celebrations.
