What's on

Please book ahead before visiting

We're reopening the Walled Garden, estate, Hayloft restaurant and shop from Monday 9 November following the firebreak lockdown. The Tea Parlour will also be reopening on weekends only. The Hall, Wolf's Den and secondhand bookshop are closed at the current point in time. Under the new Welsh Government legislation, our places are only open to Wales residents and to groups of four or less (excluding children below 11) unless they are from the same household. To avoid disappointment please book in advance, especially at busier times such as weekends and bank holidays. However, where space is available on weekdays, pre-booking may not always be necessary. If you do not book we cannot guarantee admission. We're looking forward to welcoming you back.

Visiting Erddig: what you need to know

We're looking forward to welcoming you back. If you're planning a visit to Erddig, read this article to find everything you need to know about what's open and what to expect from your visit. We've made some changes to our usual offer, to help keep everyone safe.

Winter leaves

Important information

From 6pm on Friday 4 December, changes to Welsh Government legislation mean we will be able to welcome visitors from tiers one and two in England and level one and two in Scotland, to our places in Wales. Many of our shops, cafes, gardens and parks, along with our coast and countryside sites, will remain open to groups of four or less (excluding children below 11) unless they are from the same household. In line with Welsh Government legislation, our indoor visitor attractions in Wales are currently closed to restrict the spread of coronavirus. The safety of our staff, volunteers, visitors and local communities remains our priority. We will continue to follow Welsh Government restrictions and should they change will act accordingly.

Spotlight on Erddig's collection

Erddig has the second largest collection of items in the whole of the National Trust. With a total of 30,000 to care for, it's no mean feat for the house team of conservators and volunteers. We’re an accredited museum too.
