Your group are welcome to enjoy a visit to Hardwick, at their own pace. Our knowledgeable team are happy to help you get the best out of your day. See the Garden throughout the seasons and make new discoveries in the Hall.

If you are planning a visit with 15 or more people then we ask that you pre-book, this will also book a coach or mini-bus space. We’ll send you a booking form and confirm prices with you when you ring or email.

Looking for something different

Book one of our tours and discover a new angle to Hardwick. Whether you are interested in tapestries and embrodieries, furniture, architecture, gardens or the family history we can provide the tour for you. An expert tour guide will take you through Hardwick and will offer excellent insight.

Treasure House Tour (2 hours)

Join our House and Collections team to discover the beautiful treasures at Hardwick. Your guide will take you through impressive rooms of the hall and open doors generally closed to the public or create your own bespoke tour focusing on a special interest. Afterwards enjoy the gardens and Stableyard facilities for the rest of the day. These tours are exclusive and are available on Mondays or Tuesdays (February to October).

Highlights of Hardwick (1 hour 30 mins)     

Discover more about the family story of the people who shaped and cared for Hardwick over its 400-year history. Take a taster tour of the Elizabethan state rooms and the family rooms on the middle floor of the hall. This tour is available Wednesday to Sunday at 10.30am, starting before the hall opens (February to October).

Glorious Garden (1 hour)                       

An enlightening tour of the garden at Hardwick. The lovely walled courtyards enclose a fragrant herb garden, pretty orchards and beautiful lawns. Discover more behind the scenes in the 'engine room' of the gardens too.

The Great Barn Restaurant is ready to welcome groups of all sizes. Whether for a morning coffee, delicious lunch or afternoon sweet treat there'll be something for your taste buds to enjoy. Groups can select from our groups menu and find something that suits everyone. We are able to caterer for dietary requirements and our catering will work with you to ensure everything runs smoothly.
