Challenge yourself to an active adventure at Sheringham Park

Sheringham Park was designed by Humphry Repton with impressive views in mind. With 1000 acres of parkland and woodland to explore, it is an outdoor playground for all ages. The whole family can get active whilst enjoying inspiring sea views, bucket loads of fresh air and natural highlights at every turn.

If you want to challenge yourself to get fitter or spend more time immersed in nature, it’s easy to do so when you feel inspired to explore a magical setting. Whether you run, hike, walk or cycle, get outdoors and discover the beauty of Sheringham Park.

Feel the sun on your face with a morning walk through the parkland, run through a soft bed of pine needles or hike down to the beach to listen to the sounds of crashing waves – whichever route you take and whatever your pace, you will leave feeling rejuvenated.

Trail running at Sheringham Park

With challenging hills and varied terrrains, there’s a lot more to trail running than how fast you run or how far you go. Running on our trails gives runners of all abilities the chance to get close to wildlife and escape the noise of everyday life.

The 5k active trail route at Sheringham Park

Our 5k active trail

Our 5km active trail is based on one of the previous Sheringham Parkrun routes. There's nothing stopping you from testing your form and performance by running or walking it during the week!

" Whether you are a runner or walker, the varied 5km trail through Sheringham Park is second to none. For me, in addition to refreshment afterwards at the Courtyard Café, one of the many highlights are the stunning coastal views at about the 2.5km mark, where if you are lucky you may see a steam train on the North Norfolk Railway.
