Lady Brunner's Strawberry Tartlets
As we explore the stories from Lady Brunner's childhood in the house this summer, indulge in a treat straight from one of her recipe books. An unusual twist on the classic from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, these are sweet tasting little treats.
- 12oz shortcrust pastry
- 1lb ripe strawberries
- 2½oz icing sugar
- 4 eggs
Roll out the pastry and line 16 tartlet tins with it.
Crush the strawberries and mix them with the sugar.
Whisk the eggs and gradually add them to the strawberry mixture. Beat the mixture until well blended and pour into the pastry cases.
Bake at 180C for ten minutes.
