Places to shop in York

In the city, the large high street shop on Goodramgate has a lot to tempt you, or head below stairs at Treasurer's House. Stop by the stables when you're visiting Beningbrough or pop in the sun room at Goddards.

City centre shopping 

Just down from the Minster is a charming shop....housed in an interesting historic building. Large in size and choice but friendly in welcome and service. Pop in when you're next in York.

Shop in the stables at Beningbrough 

The large shop at Beningbrough is located in the stables area close to the walled garden. Along with gifts and souvenirs there is an excellent family range and outdoor plant and garden section. Drop in as part of your visit on open days.

Step downstairs to Treasurer's shop

The small gift shop can be found next to the Below Stairs Cafe in the basement of the house. It's free to enter on open days, or head down during a visit and you can select from the quality range of gifts and souvenirs.

The retail range is small but perfectly formed and mainly inspired by the Arts and Crafts house and garden or York's chocolate heritage. A chance to pick up something special on a visit.
