Let's Play at Nymans
Come out and play this summer at Nymans with plenty to keep the little ones entertained in the holidays. This summer , a large-scale play installation will invite families to 'Look out! Listen up!' to the sights and sounds of their natural environment. What might you see through the periscopes? What might you hear through the ear horn? Comber’s field is once again home to a number of active challenges designed to get your blood pumping, or have fun in the Play Glade, Nymans’ natural play space.
‘Let’s Play at Nymans’ runs daily from Saturday 23 July until Wednesday 31 August from 10am until 5pm.
The Pirate, The Seed and the All-Seeing Tree
An immersive theatre experience comes to Nymans this summer with 'The Pirate, The Seed and the All-Seeing Tree'. Join in on a voyage of discovery...how is it we can hear the tales of the ancient cedar tree? Why is the Plant Pirate here and what is he up to? Can a lost seed grow in a strange land? Our colourful characters are on a quest to find answers and they need your help.
Friday 29 July – Sunday 31 July & Friday 5 August - Sun 7 August with performances throughout the day starting at 11am. Performances are FREE, no need to book ahead, just turn up on the day. 30 minute show.

Theatre Performances for all the family
The Railway Children
When their father has to leave their London home unexpectedly, Roberta, Phyllis and Peter leave London and travel with their mother to start a new life in rural Yorkshire.
Their love of trains and the nearby railway line lead to new friendships and adventures but the mystery of why their father doesn’t return remains and they must find out and help him come home.
Whilst written more than a century ago, this charming children’s novel still inspires all ages and with folk music throughout, everyone will have their hearts warmed with this captivating adaptation.

The woods are a great place to explore with boardwalks, water cascades, mud, flowers and very tall trees. Our three circular walks will show you some of the best bits. See if you can find the large wooden sculptures, including a kingfisher, owls and a giant beetle.

Visit the welcome hub to see which of the 50 things to do before you're 11 ¾ activities you could do on your visit. Create some wild art or have fun with sticks - both challenges are great to do whatever the weather. The garden and woods are a great place to start your nature adventures.
Eating with us
Our cafe, located by the main entrance, opens at 10am and has indoor and outdoor seating for those purchasing food and drinks. The main menu is served from 12 - 2.30pm and for children we offer lunch boxes and half size portions of main meals.
The Riding House is open between 11am and 4pm daily serving a selection of light lunches and cakes.
At peak times you can pick up a snack from the horse box outside the house, where you'll find sandwiches, cakes & drinks.
If its sunny weather why not bring a picnic to enjoy and treat yourself to an ice-cream?
