'Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star' spiced chocolate biscuits

One of our best sellers in the cafe this December and a perfect accompaniment to a hot drink after a chilly walk around the garden.

Spiced chocolate biscuits made at Nymans
  • Preparation time 15 minutes (prep. time)
  • Cooking time 10-15 minutes (cooking time)
  • Serves 15 - 20 biscuits


  • 285g plain flour 
  • 110g cocoa powder 
  • 17g  mixed spice
  • 190g dark brown sugar
  • 110g stork margarine
  • 300g white chocolate
  • silver shimmer spray
  • silver edible pearls


  1. Mix together all the ingredients until a stiff dough is formed.
  2. Roll out and cut into star shapes. Bake at 180C for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Allow to cool.
  4. Gently melt the white chocolate and dip the biscuits or drizzle on, decorate with silver balls and once set, lightly spray with silver shimmer.
