Enjoy a taste of Sizergh this summer
In the shadow of Sizergh Castle, our contemporary café is open seven days a week from 10am. With fresh, seasonal produce grown in the garden used in our food it’s easy to enjoy a taste of Sizergh when you visit us. Whether you’re planning to join us for lunch or it’s a pit stop before exploring the gardens and estate, every purchase you make helps us look after this special place.
Our dishes feature locally sourced ingredients including vegetables collected from our garden and the sweet treats are baked fresh by our chefs in the Sizergh café kitchen. Our menu varies from day to day; see what's cooking below.
Get your ice cream!
Our new ice cream hut is up and running on the veranda, selling soft scoop ice cream and a selection of hot and cold drinks. It’s great for walkers as you don’t need to come into the café, just pick up a snack before you head out onto the estate.
Well behaved woofs are welcome inside our café and on the veranda, if you fancy a refreshing treat.
A water bowl can be found on the veranda just outside the main entrance – please let us know if this needs re-filling.
Did you know?
We’ve been awarded the Soil Association’s Bronze Food for Life Served Here Award. The award recognises our commitment to serving local, fresh and honest food made using ethical and sustainable ingredients.
Catering for functions
Looking for an event caterer in the local area? Whether it’s a conference or that special occasion – we can help. Let us create the perfect menu for you, call Gemma or Alex on 015395 69820 to discuss your requirements.
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer any space for private hire during 10am – 5pm, however we are able to host evening functions outside our normal operating hours.
Sit at our 'Chatter & Natter' table
As part of the Chatty Café Scheme, a chatter & natter table is where customers can sit if they are happy to talk to other visitors.
Who can join? Anyone...if you're on your own, in a couple, with a friend, if you're a carer why not sit there with who you care for, mums and babies, dads and babies, grandparents and babies, young people, older people and anyone in between!
What do i do? When you are deciding where to sit, look for the chatter & natter table and sit there! Stay for five minutes while you have your drink or longer. it's not about making friends just having a good old fashioned human interaction!
