This October half-term escape to Standen for some autumn fun. We have exciting autumn trails and for those feeling creative, take part in clay craft activities.
If you'd rather enjoy the fresh air you can take a stroll through our gardens or head out through crunchy leaves into the surrounding woodland and even tick off some of your 50 things to do before you’re 11 ¾. And don't forget that if the weather's not on your side, Barn Café is open all week for tasty treats.
October half-term Happy Harvest Trail
Autumn is here and there is plenty of bounty from the garden here at Standen. Join the harvest trail, explore and scurry around the garden finding all the fruits of the garden teams labour.
£2 per child with prize.
Mrs Beale was proud of her kitchen garden which took up over a third of the garden. Fruit and vegetables were used not only in the kitchen but also sent to relatives in London and beyond.
During October we will be celebrating the produce harvested from the Kitchen Garden with tasting days every Friday in October, Apple Day on Sat 12 Oct and seasonal dishes in our Barn Café.
Autumn is a great time to explore the garden and woodlands at Standen. Take in the view over the Sussex Weald from the Rock Top Walk or wander through the woods and crunch the leaves. Garden, cafe and shop open daily from 10am-5pm. House open 11am-4.30pm (last entry 4pm). From Fri 1 Nov open 10am-4pm, house open 11am-3pm.
