Winter at Standen

Start the year at Standen, take in the woodland on a wintery walk around the estate. See the House from a different point of view on a Through Servants' Eyes tour (January) or be inspired by The Standen Collection. Discover Bothy nestled in the trees and join in with activities and trails during February half term. The Standen Collection 

Designers Peter Thwaites and Rebecca Aird have been commissioned to create a collection of modern hand-printed fabrics and wallpapers for Standen, using inspiration gathered by visitors, volunteers and staff. See their designs in our newly opened Servants' Wing until Friday 27 April 2018. Free, normal admission applies.

Standen Winter Walking

Winter Walks 

This winter there are plenty of walks through 100 acres of the original Standen estate, including ancient woods and frosty fields. Dogs are welcome on a lead. Please note normal admission applies to enter the property and car park.

Bothy at Standen 

Designer Will Shannon uses Arts & Crafts principles of using local materials and traditional handcrafted skills to make 'Bothy'. Stop for a while as you walk round the garden to discover this small folly like space.

February half-term holiday fun 

This half-term, keep the kids occupied with a fun garden trail or wintery walks through crisp fields. Try your hand at den building or make a mud pie in the woods. After all your adventures, warm up in the cafe with hot food and drink. Open daily from Saturday 10-Sunday 18 February 2018.
