Eating at Bodnant Garden

That morning coffee, afternoon tea or lunch stop is such an important part of any visit to Bodnant Garden, one we’ve all missed. The great news is we’ve now reopened the outdoor seating area at the Pavilion tearoom and are serving takeaway refreshments from the kiosk in The Dell.

You need to book your garden visit in advance on our website but you don’t need to book a table to eat at the Pavilion tearoom.

In line with Welsh Government Regulations, if you’re using our outdoor seating, we’ll ask you to scan your membership card or, if you’re not a member, to leave brief contact details for the Test, Trace and Protect programme (all adults over 18). We’ll also ask you to provide verification of your name.

Here’s how it works:

  • TAKE YOUR SEAT: Outdoor seating at the Pavilion is reserved for visitors using the tearoom. Any tables that have chairs leaning against them are ready for use and have been cleaned and disinfected. There is also a sanitiser station outside the tearoom you are welcome to use.
  • ORDER INSIDE: Please order your food in the tearoom. To ensure social distancing, follow the one-way system in place to give your order to one of our team at the counter.
  • PICK A LEADER: We ask that one person from your party queue inside the tearoom with the order. Bring all NT membership cards to be scanned. If your group includes paying customers we will give you a table number and one of our team will go outside to take the details.
  • YOUR DETAILS: If there are up to 6 people in a group from different households, all NT members, we need to scan all NT membership cards. If your group includes a paying customer we need to also take down Test and Trace details for the paying customer.

A menu of hot and cold light bites, cakes and bakes, and drinks to takeaway is also being served from the Dell kiosk from Fridays to Tuesdays. There’s is no outdoor seating available here at the current time but you’ll find benches around the garden. The Magnlia tearoom near the garden centre is currently closed.

We’ve introduced new safety measures including screens at our tills, collection points and waymarked routes. We look forward to welcoming you back and know that you’ll support us to make this a safe experience for everyone. Thank you for helping us to stay open safely, we look forward to seeing you soon.
