Bringing in the Harvest
Celebrate bringing in the Harvest with family-friendly free activities every day throughout September and October.
Embark on a pumpkin adventure through the Walled Kitchen Garden, see the larger than life scarecrow displays across the Park and enjoy mouth-watering home-grown dishes in the Garden Tea House grown by our very own team of gardeners. See the array of colours brought to life with our famous pumpkin displays of all shapes and sizes taking over the Park and taste some of the wonderful home-made jams, chutneys and honeys in the Laundry Cottage Shop.
September will be themed all things apples as we kick off with Apple Afternoon on 4 September. Be the first to taste the early apple varieties grown in our Walled Kitchen Garden and get hands-on with summer pruning demonstrations and apple-themed tours of the garden.
October will be celebrated with all things pumpkins as we kick off with the pumpkin trail in the Walled Kitchen Garden on 22 October, along with beautiful pumpkin displays around the Park incorporating all kinds of weird and wonderful pumpkins and gourds.
Throughout these months, there will be plenty of time to sample some of the delicious home-made treats in the Garden Tea House, café and in the shop. Try before you buy and enjoy tasting some of our home-made soups, jams, chutneys, honey and much more.
