Tour of Britain 2017 at Clumber Park
We are absolutely delighted that Stage 4 of the country’s premier road cycling event, the Tour of Britain is coming to North Nottinghamshire and have chosen to pass through Clumber Park on Wednesday 6th September.
Tour Of Britain Stage Four:
The stage is being held entirely with the county and gives us a great opportunity to showcase this special place.
The stage starts in Mansfield and finishes in Newark and passes through Clumber Park along the way.
The route enters Clumber Park at Carburton Lodge and travels north east along Limetree Avenue. At the main crossroads it then turns up Clumber Lane and exits the Park at Truman’s Lodge.
To ensure the safety of all competitors and spectators the Tour of Britain operates a rolling road closure system. With this in mind we can’t be exactly sure at what times the road sections will be closed in Clumber Park but we anticipate that they will be closed for approximately 30 minutes at sometime between 12.41 and 13.44.
As such Limetree Avenue will be closed to through traffic during this period as will Clumber Lane.
The Apleyhead Lodge entrance off the A614 will remain open and we will divert visitors through Hardwick crossroads to the main facilities. Equally exiting traffic will be diverted to leave via Apleyhead.
Drayton gate will remain open. Please be aware that there will be road closures in place throughout the county during the day, further details can be found on the Tour of Britain web-site. http://www.tourofbritain.co.uk/stages/stage-four/
