Summer highlights

Relax amongst lush greenery and bright colours and enjoy the scents of the Rose Garden in the sunshine. Summer highlights in the garden include the striking white heads of the Cardiocrinum- despite their short flowering time; they bring visitors back year after year. Summer colour can be enjoyed first in the Rose Garden and later when the hydrangeas and acer come into bloom.

Dunham Massey's Rose Garden

Opened in 2013, Dunham Massey’s much loved rose garden is not to be missed in the summer months as the vibrant array of roses provide beautiful sights and smells. See if you can spot two special roses during your visit- ‘Rosa Dunham Massey’ and ‘Rosa Stamford’s Sanctuary’. Did you know it can take the gardeners and volunteers over 75 hours a week to try and remove all the dead heads and keep the rose garden looking its best?
