Self-led walking trails at Dunster Castle and Watermill

Visitors enjoying Dunster Castle parkland walks

It's the perfect time to get outdoors around Dunster for a walk. There's plenty to enjoy from spotting squirrels and listening to the birds to getting a different view of the castle and historic village. Our downloadable walking trails can take you on a journey of discovery through history and introduce you to sweeping vistas across the Bristol Channel. You’re spoilt for choice when it comes to finding a walk to suit you. Our tearoom and shop are open everyday so why not treat yourself to refreshment and seasonal goodies whilst you're here! Please be aware of grazing animals and wildlife in the surrounding fields: keep your dog on a lead and take your litter home with you.

Things to bear in mind before you set off

The parkland can become very muddy during, and after, periods of wet weather; we advise wearing suitable footwear and outdoor clothing.

The car park is locked at 6pm so make sure to plan your walk so you are back in time.
